Historically Famous Lucass

By tradition, Luke was a Greek-speaking Gentile, and besides writing the third Gospel, he was Paul's 'beloved physician' and also a painter. Although scholars now find as many Hebrew themes in the Gospel as Gentile ones, Luke's work is still characterized by its emphasis on the emotional, and its sympathy with women. Again, traditionally, Luke is believed to have painted Mary's portrait and recounted his version of the nativity from her own memories.
