Historically Famous PhilisPhilip was another of the 12 disciples, a respectably married Jewish fisherman from Galilee until he was called to follow Jesus. We know much less about him than Peter, but he was one of the disciples at the feeding of the 5000, so bread has become one of his symbols in art. He was also the apostle who converted Queen Candace's eunuch as he travelled back to Egypt after the Resurrection.
