Vin de France
A ripe and vibrant Rosé, on the nose clean red berry fruit in abundance, followed by soft redcurrant fruit on the palate, a hint of creamy yoghurt giving the wine a slight off-dry finish that lingers well.
About the Vin de France Classification
Vin de France is a designation for table wine from France that has been in use since 2010. Vin De France allows blending across French regions and the specification of grape variety and vintage on the bottle. Vins de France indicates grape variety and vintage, but are not labelled by region or appellation, only as coming from France. This means that the wines are typically sold under brand names or as branded varietal wines.
French Appellation Controllée
This Rose Grand Vin De Bordeaux is from Chateaux Montcabrier a distinguished and popular producer. A Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are harvested at day break to preserve aromatic freshness and directly pressed followed by a brief maceration period
The wine has good finesse with red fruit sorbet and citrus overtones with a hint of white flowers. Excellent served as an aperitif.
About the Appellation Controllée Classification
These wines are of the highest quality. They are strictly ruled. Those rules cover methods of growing and producing, localisation, grape-variety, minimum contents of alcohol, etc.
All these wines are analysed and tasted. This very strict legislation guarantees an excellent quality of AOC wines.
The word “Origine” is often replaced by the name of the place of origin of the wine eg: “Appellation Bordeaux Controllée”.
